SOMEONE in your group needs to competent as dealing with the O.S. you're running on.

Assuming you understand how to use Oracle, you can use Oracle with no knowlege of the
underlying operating system (and hardware for that matter).

This is true of any O.S.

(Someone who makes blanket statements like :"NT is useless...<with> ...Oracle" is useless.)

Now, MS-SQL server with Unix, that might not be so useful. (heh heh)
