ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

Hello,

my Servlet-Application tries to connect to Oracle 8i via JDBC. Sometimes (esp. in complex queries) the queries result in the following error:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

Is there a possibility to increase the max number of open cursors?
