Hi,

utl_smtp was introduced with 8.1.6 (8i Release 2) - Mike is on 8. If Oracle 8 is run on Unix the sendmail command can be used - there's an example in Oracle metalink. For Oracle 8 on NT one solution is described at http://www.ipass.net/~davesisk/oont_download.htm (SendMailFromDB)
