Database Services Engineer

Overview:

Know your OCI8, DBMS, ODBC/JDBC, and SQL? Do you want to work with Sun Clusters and Oracle Parallel Server? Do you want to work within leadingedge  platform team to develop systems for managing hundreds of thousands of nationwide subscriber e_at_ccounts for messaging, content, and e-commerce services? Do you like the challenge of designing robust replication, partitioning, and fail-over schemes? Are you a guru with database connection code, especially on how to create effective data caching? Can you code C++ in your sleep? If you have over 3 years of database development and experience with large- scale online service data systems this is the opportunity you've been looking for.

Major Responsibilities/Requirements:

You could be responsible for architecting backend solutions for IPeria Service Node. Designing and upgrading database schemas; performance tuning; DAL design and implementation.
·Must have 3-7 years of design and development experience in relational database systems (Microsoft SQL or Oracle). ·Expertise in data modeling, implementation of data access layer components, stored procedure design and development, security review, performance tuning, hardware sizing and capacity planning. ·Experience with distributed database architectures related to highvolume  Internet portals. Experience designing for cross platform (UNIX, NT) support, and high volume web traffic. ·BS in Computer Science, or related field or 2 years development experience.
