If you are absolutely sure that you have the same version of the operating system and same version of the databse on the second box and you have laid everything out properly, then I suggest that you give up cloning the database and just use export and import to build the thing on the new box. This ofcourse assumes that your database size doe not proclude an export and import strategy. Lastly, are you sure that your Installtion of Oracle on the second box is proper. Have you been able to create a simple database from the ground up on the second box that works. If you find that you cannot build a simple database from scratch, then it may be an improper installation of Oracle that is causing your problem. Good Luck...
