Andrew,

Are you really sure that dropping the database is the easiest way? To drop a database, remove its datafiles, redo log files, and all other associated files (control files, parameter files, archived log files). (Administractor's Guide) Even if dropping the database is easy, creating a database is never as easy, it may take a long to allocate tablespaces.

Maybe your idea is that the import program will create all the tablespaces back, for this point I have to confirm.
