I'm happy to help out - I was also frustated with the Oracle documentation (and this newsgroup, as you might have noticed!) and hoped someone in a similar situation wouldn't have to suffer as I did. BTW, a hint to the solution to this problem was posted at OTN (Oracle Technology Network). Perhaps that's a better place than this group to look for help first. VP
