Re: sqlplus core dump 8.0.5 client to 8.1.6 server

I had the same problem with 8.0.5 client toward 8.0.6 Server (both on Sun Solaris). It could be resolved only by upgrading the client to 8.0.6. Changing parameters either on the client tnsnames.ora, or on the DB init.ora did nothing. But all problems vanished after client upgrade. Version 8.0.5 is VERY buggy and that's why Oracle stop it support this June 2000.
