ASP with Oracle 8 vs. Oracle 7?

Hi,

I have a set of ASP pages (IIS 4.0) that are in production for an Oracle 7 database. I have a copy of the same pages on a different web server, different database server connecting to an Oracle 8 copy of my database. The pages that are accessing the Oracle 8 database are failing to retrieve data for most, but not all, of the queries. Simple queries, like for a pulldown menu, work. Queries that rely on user supplied values seem to fail (no errors, just no records returned).

Does anybody have any idea what is going on? Was there a syntax change from 7 to 8? I am not very experienced with ASP pages (I inherited these). I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Jenny Fristrup
