ODBC driver not working in Ver 8

Hi I have a PC with Oracle clients ver 7.3 and 8.1.5 installed on the same machine. The v7.3 ODBC stuff works fine but when I try to set up an ODBC connection using the v8 driver nothing happens. No config screen comes up and the driver doesn't appear in the list of User or System DSNs. Is this problem related to the fact that I have two versions installed? Is there a fix, patch, etc?
