Re: datafile without path affecting backup

Thanks for the info. We tried renaming/reassigning a path to the datafile but received a message that it needed media recovery. The tablespace that the datafile is in also has another datafile that we definately need. We are unable/don't know how to determine what objects are associated with which datafile in the tablespace. We don't think the datafile in question is being used but don't want to get rid of it until we are sure what it holds. Do you have any ideas on how to find that out? Thanks in advance.
