Oracle & Linux

Hi,

we have a Solaris Server running with Oracle Enterprise Server 8.1.5 (could become 8.1.6 in the future). Our clients are Windows NT-PCs, but our customer is considering to use Linux as the OS for the clients.

My questions are:
- Does anybody has experience with the quality of the Linux Oracle
client and the JDBC-Driver?
- Are there any tools (like TOAD for example) available on Linux?

Are there any further risks regarding Oracle, when we would move to Linux?
