Installing Oracle 8.0.5 gives an error - svrmgrl segmentation fault

When installing Oracle 8.0.5 on Redhat 6.0 I got the following error:



svrmgrl --> segmentation fault (core dumped)..



why is this happening? Apparently the relinking process went fine...
anything to do with the system libraries?? Please, help..
