Has anyone successfully been able to insert text of > 4000 characters into a CLOB field? If you have, please tell me how. Anything over 4000 characters will fail with either of these error messages: DBD::Oracle::st execute failed: ORA-01704: string literal too long (DBD ERROR: OCIStmtExecute)
DBD::Oracle::st execute failed: ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column (DBD ERROR: OCIStmtExecute) Thanks a lot! Krista Genovese Received on Tue Apr 04 2000 - 13:06:53 CDT
