In principle yes a good interface can really improve productivity and effectiveness. I think it's debatable how much this applies to systems admins or dbas but to less well trained personnel it can make a helluva difference. And hey even experienced dbas sometimes fire up enterprise manager to nick the syntax of the sql from the show sql window. (Just a small example of good gui design making life easier).
