When running the install procedure to install Oracle 8.05 on Linux you have to run the file ORATAB.SH.

Just getting error messages:

[root$SERVER orainst]# sh oratab.sh
: command not found
: command not found
: command not found
: command not found
: command not found
: command not found
: command not found

'ratab.sh: syntax error near unexpected token ' n 'ratab.sh: oratab.sh: line 29: 'case ${N}$C in [root$SERVER orainst]#

It looks like the script in falling over every " CASE" keyword in the script.

Does anybody know why it is not working?

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ?????????????????????

THANX IN ADVANCE Peter Received on Wed Mar 29 2000 - 12:43:51 CST
