Hello All,

I'm an absolute newbie to Oracle.

I'd like to run a pre-backup script to shutdown all my Oracle databases, and a post-backup script to start them up again.

I'm wading through help files at the moment but I'm not getting very far.

Even if someone could point me in the right direction it would be great.

Thanks in Advance,

Ciaran.
