After some experience with Oracle 7.3.3 I am migrating to Oracle 8.1.5 and experiencing problems with automatic login (OS authetication).

Could anyone please help me with the following problems?

1.) Setting

    remote_login_passwordfile = none
    in the init.ora I can't startup my database (see below).

F:\>svrmgrl

Oracle Server Manager Release 3.1.5.0.0 - Production

Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.5.0.0 - Production With the Partitioning and Java options
PL/SQL Release 8.1.5.0.0 - Production

2.) On a new installation of Enterprise Edition (Standard, Standard-DB) I am not able

    to connect without a password (neither as normal user nor as sysdba / sysoper).

SVRMGR> connect /
ORA-01004: default username feature not supported; logon denied SVRMGR> connect / as sysoper
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SVRMGR> connect / as sysdba
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SVRMGR>       The corresponding NT-user is Administrator who belongs to ORA_DBA and ORA_ORCL_DBA     (created ad installation and using Oracle Administration Assistant for Windows NT,     resp.)

Any help appreciated
