Hi,

Oracle 8.0.5 on RH 5.2.
I decided to redo my Oracle installation and did a deinstall first
(don't ask me why !).

Now of course the new installation fails.

When i first installed Oracle i was running the 2.0.34 kernel and glibc 2.0.7.
I have since upgraded my kernel to 2.2.13 and glibc to 2.1.2. All the time and the time after that all the Oracle software has been running ok.
The new installation goes fine up untill the point when i need to use libclnt.so.0.1. (svrmgrl, sqlplus etc..). I took a look on the libraries libclnt.so.0.1 was linked with and came up with the following:
libc.so.6, libdl.so.2, libm.so.6 and ld-linux.so.2. They are of course all linked to my new glibc 2.1.2 libs. I have tried to relink these to the old 2.0.7 libs in order to redo the installation that way, but I haven't been able to get the relinking to work without errors yet.

Anyone with similar experineces who could direct me in the right way.
(Tell me if this is a problem with my newer glibc or if it has nothing
to do with the installation problems)
