Accessing mapped network drives from oracle

Hi,

Our Oracle server (8i on NT) is part of a network domain and maps several of the network drives from this domain.

I've written a Java procedure (8i) that needs to access directories from some of these mapped drives, but I am unable to access any of the mapped drives from within Oracle (I assume that's because those drives are mapped at the OS level and I have no rights from Oracle).

What do I need to do to access a mapped network drive from Oracle?

Thanks,
Kevin
