Was having no problem to install 8.1.5 on Solaris7_x86. Check for the o/s system (kernel and env. variables) requirements are met with your box (Install manual).
Also apply the latest MU (I believe it is 4) for Solaris7_x86 and latest kernel patches befor installing Oracle.
