Hi Everyone,

We use Oracle 8i DB just for minimal purpose on PC - Pentium 3, 450 MHz CPU, 128M RAM, Windows NT. When the database is running, it takes about 100M RAM and 1 % CPU (except 2 peaks of 100% each 30 sec ).

Do you know:
1. How can we configure the Oracle to work in the "minor" mode?

    How to minimize the RAM use?
2. What do the peaks mean?
