Q: Forms 5: How to programmatically build a dynamic canvas

I am looking for a good approach for programmatically building Forms 5 canvasses that are totally dynamic, ie. a canvas that is totally dynamic with regard to fields, their placement, prompt, etc.

Any other possibility than declaring each field in its own block and place these blocks programmatically, which I find pretty cumbersome?
