Need to disable connection redirection

I am having troubles redirecting Net8 connections in Oracle through ssh forwarded ports. It works fine on any Unix oracle installation, but as soon as I try and connect to Oracle running on NT, then the Oracle server sends a redirect packet back to my Net8 client telling it to connect to a different port.

This wouldn't be a problem, as I can redirect more ports. However, the brilliant server also sends the IP address to redirect to. The new IP address, of course, doesn't exist on the network I'm connecting from and the connection fails.

I have no idea why it's redirecting connections. It doesn't do it on Unix servers. There's no need to get off the port for NT. Nt allows more than one connection to a port, just like Unix.

The new netasst with versions >8.1.5 has an advanced configuration setting that is supposed to disable threaded connections, but the server still tries to redirect.

If anyone knows a way to disable this silly behavior, I'd be very grateful to hear it.
