if you have 3 partiitions, you wont need to reformat your entire hard drive. just get the pdisk utility and altar one of your partitions so that you can format that partition only during the linux installation....goto the www.linuxppc.org homepage to learn more about installing linux . thats how I was able to install linux without destroying my entire hard drive hfs partitions.
