Description:
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for designing, developing, and
administrating a high performance, high availability ORACLE database. The
system will make use of most of the advanced 8I features such as Data
Cartridges, Java Stored Procedures, and OO extensions.
Required Experience:
Qualified candidates must have demonstrated expertise designing and
deploying
§ high availability databases,
§ database optimization (design) and tuning (deployment)
§ experienced using Object Oriented Concepts.
Education Requirements:
BS in CS or equivalent experience
Skills:
Successful candidate must be able to
§ design and implement database environments (tables, tablespaces, security,
etc...),
§ plan production database capacities,
§ develop ORACLE solutions (stored procedures, triggers, integrity
maintenance), and
§ develop Java, C++, and Web interfaces to ORACLE.
