Personal Oracle 8.1.5 and Oracle Enterprise Server 8.0.5

Hello there!

We're developing (with delphi 4) an application which has to copy some data from the remote Oracle Server (8.0.5) into a local database which is managed by Oracle personal edition 8.1.5.
The data there is processed and then sent back to the remot server.

Personal oracle 8.1.5 has to have installed the new own client. Accessing via this client 8.1.5 the remote database the eapplication is being killed sometimes. It ends without an error message. Debugging the program there comes an error-message "access violation" when executing a normal (riskless) select-statement via TQuery.

Yesterday we updated the BDE from 5.1 to 5.11 because version 5.1 brought an horrible error - it didn't commit the changes in the database unless terminating the application. But the above error was the same (before and after updating the BDE).

Somebody has an idea?
