You will find a paper entitled "How to Hire (or be Hired as) an Oracle DBA" by Mike Ault in the "Archives" section of the DBA Pipeline http://www.revealnet.com/dbapipe/index.htm

This paper describes the characteristics of a "hands-on" DBA, and includes a 35 page skills test.
