Linking OCI

I am having difficulties linking the OCI libraries to an application
written in C.



I am using Oracle 8.0.5 on Linux, (although the software will also
need to work with Oracle 7), and GCC and GNU Make.



Can anybody provide a sample Makefile, or point me in the right
direction?  Thanks.
