Intermedia Web Agent and IE5 image cache problem

I have noticed the following problem with Intermedia and IE5:

If a call to the Intermediat Web Agent is done through an <IMG SRC=...> the image does not cache and the properties show a size of -1 bytes and an unknown type. If the Intermedia Web Agent URL is called directly from the address line, this problem does not occur.

I tried the same scenario with Netscape and did not encounter the problem.

Can anyone help???
