Hi all

I created a new database ...deleting the old database (thru dbassist utility). Now after the database got created if i executed dbshut it dint do anything and came down to the $ prompt and even if executed dbstart it showed the same behaviour. But the database was running and i could execute the queries thru SQL and OCI and therefore i dint care.

Now when i restarted my machine (Solaris) the database dint start stating ORACLE not available. What could be the reason for this ???

Did i miss anything after i created the new database or after the deletion of the old database

Kindly help

Thanks & Regards
