We are trying to install Oracle 8i on a UnixWare 7.1.0 machine with recommended patches installed, swap space 1 Gb, and kernel tuned to Oracles
recommendations. Free space 6 Gb.

We get this:

java.lang.VerifyError
  at
  at
oracle.sysman.oii.oiif.oiifb.OiifbCompWizChainCondElem.doCalculation

The last line differs a bit depending on what type of an installation we
try. But it is always a VerifyError-something-or-other.

Would anybody here know what this means. Has anybody installed successfully
installed 8i on a UnixWare machine?

Ours is an Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition, release 8.1.5.0.0 for SCO UnixWare
(at least that's what it says on my CD ;-)).

Please help, any help (and pointers) will be greately appreaciated.
