Re: The Data Administration Newsletter -- http://www.tdan.com

Happy New Year 2000 ... The eleventh issue of The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN.com) is now available on-line at the address shown above.

Responses to the TDAN 2000 Survey announced in December have been very helpful. With a growing archive of over 110 articles, it is obvious that there is a need for a SEARCH function which will be added in the near future.

Many people also mentioned that they want to see data management continue as the focus of the newsletter. The interest level is very high in e-business, XML, portals, CRM, ... and several readers stated that data management will play an integral part in their company's success in these areas.

There is still time to submit your TDAN 2000 Survey response by visiting the survey page located at http://www.tdan.com/survey.htm. Three surveys will be randomly selected with winners receiving one of three $100 gift certificates to Amazon.com. The survey takes three minutes to complete. More to come on the survey and results later this month.

For the third straight year, TDAN.com will be a media sponsor for several of the most informative conferences of the year featuring some of the most influential speakers in the industry. Click on the link here to see the conferences that are presently being sponsored the newsletter. -- http://www.tdan.com/announce.htm.

As mentioned in a previous announcement, TDAN.com is working with Dave Marco and Enterprise Warehouse Solutions to share articles across newsletters. Dave's article published in this issue is titled "Ten Mistakes to Avoid When Developing a Meta Data Repository". Look for other EWS articles in the future.

Articles are being accepted for future issues of the newsletter. Deadlines appear on the call for articles page -- http://www.tdan.com/callforpapers.htm. To throw some quick stats at you ... TDAN.com receives between 100k-125k hits every month and the average visit lasts more than ten minutes. Consider publishing your next (or first) article in TDAN.com.

Thanks again for your continued interest and support of The Data Administration Newsletter. Questions and comments are always welcome.

Best Regards,
