Hi,

I'm currently developping a VB6 OCX wich will connect to an Oracle 8 server and call some procedures and functions.

My problem is that I need to have a connection timeout. IE: if one Proc takes 5 minutes to run, I need to be alerted after, say 5 seconds, that the Proc has not finished.

I can set a QueryTimeOut with RDO/ADO etc, but the performance just isn't there.

Am I stuck with implementing a threaded watchdog myself or is there an easy way to do that?

Thanks.

Ben.
