If you are using PO 7.3.x :
in ODBC Administrator put : Server: 2:ORCL ( in some ODBC drivers this may
be called Database)
"in SQL* Net '2:' indicates a local connection"
If you are using PO 8.0.x :
Using Net8 Easy Config create new TNS name:
protocol: Bequet
database SID :ORCL.
Example: new TNS name is "MyLocal".
in ODBC Administrator put : Server : MyLocal.WORLD
If you are using PO 8i:
Using Net8 Easy Config create new TNS name:
protocol : IPC (Local database)
key value: EXTPROC0
service name: <oracle service name> ( see what name you have for service
OracleService<Name>)
Example: new TNS name is "MyLocal".
in ODBC Administrator put : Server : MyLocal
Note: do not add domain name WORLD.
