Hi,

Firstly, I don't have that much info because the client refuses to give us most of it. We have written an Oracle 7.3.4 application on a HP-UX server and NT(4) client, using forms 4.5 and reports 2.5.

Problem. One of our reports is run every day. It is a set of job sheets for the clients staff to go out and do their work. Every now and then, some of the sheets are not printed out (even though the state has changed in the database to instigated). We are pretty sure that the report is running fine (no errors reported and it has never happened for us), but we are trying to convince the client - and ourselves. Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem, and more importantly how we could trap it and show it up. We think that some packets must be getting lost somewhere along the way, but how could we show that the report produced everything to hand to the printer, if that is what is happening? At the moment this is a constantly outstanding problem and we are all sick of the sight of it. This is a client report, and what I know about NT you could write on a very small postage stamp. Thanks for any light that you can shed - you will have my eternal gratitude.

        Jo

The usual - anything I say reflects on me, and not upon my current employer.
