Hi, I _think_ this is the right ng ...
Oracle 8.1.5 NT4, SP5
A couple of months ago, I put another disk in my computer with the specific intent intent of doing some test work with Oracle 8i (and SAS and other stuff). I assumed I would need to perform a few installs to work things out, and probably a repartition or two. I recently decided to start over and first uninstalled Oracle. Of course, Oracle itself handles that, not "Add/Remove Programs" (uh, right?) Oracle vanishes from the new partition. I happened to check Services, however, and found the Oracle "Listener" and the Oracle SID stuff still present, though disabled. I then did a "find" on ora and found a number of things from the original install (on "C:", not "F:"). I assume I can go ahead and delete these before I reinstall, though I wanted to be sure. But how do I remove the services? I thought the uninstall took care of that. For this reason I am a bit reluctant to delete the folders left:
\Program Files\Oracle
\TEMP\OraInstall

There are files in these. I'd prefer as clean a (re)install as possible, and am less concerned with the files and folders than I am with the services still showing up. Or is this nothing to worry about. Thanks for any help,
