Oracle8 / WinNT problem

hi!

I use oracle 8 with windows nt 4, and sometimes when I send a sql command to the database then I become no response.

for example:

I send the command "update test set title='aaa' where id=1" with sqlplus to the database, I become no results or error message..., but if I use other tables this work fine.?!

does anybody know the problem?
