Yes, it is difficult. I got a near-successful install with Red Hat 6.1 after six tries but things still aren't quite right.

If you can post specific problems you are having, people may be able to help.

Also, someone on comp.databases.oracle.server just posted this URL - http://doors.cybertrails.com/oracle/.

I haven't looked at it much yet, but it is "dedicated to Oracle under Linux".
