Connecting from Solaris to NT

I need to be able to log on to an NT database as an externally identified Unix user (complicated situation, but I need it).

When I try, I get:

ORA-01004: default username feature not supported; logon denied.

I have the user set up properly, ie OPS$BUNCHR on Oracle, bunchr on Unix, and bunchr on NT. I can connect using the userid/password, but not using SQLPLUS / as you can on a Unix box.

OS_AUTHENT_PREFIX is set to "OPS$".

Any ideas? Or is this something that just flat out will NOT work? Received on Thu Dec 02 1999 - 15:07:18 CST
