Component based devolopment for Oracle8i

I am looking into component based development - specifically for adaptors/wrappers into Oracle8i.
I am not familiar with any commercial product sets or freeware code - if there is any.

I would appretiate any recommendations / comments please ?

Email preferred - I will summarise.
