I have just installed the Linux version of Oracle onto my PC, but am unable to run svrmgrl (or any other Oracle command) without getting the following error message :

Memory fault (core dumped)

Is this a shared memory problem? If so, can anyone give me an idea as to how to solve it? Step by step instructions would be excellent, as I am a bit of a newbie as far as Linux is concerned!

Thanks
