Version control and Oracle Forms

I would be interested in any advice or experiences anyone has of storing FMBs (as opposed to FMTs) in a version control system.

I've been told that to convert from FMB to FMT and then put the FMT under control is not necessarily the best option. The most worrying aspect is that there may be some loss of information when the FMT is converted back to the FMB for working within Oracle Forms Developer. On the other hand, if the FMB is put under version control it must be stored as a binary which means the actual file under control grows in size at a rather alarming rate.

Thanks in advance
