SVRMGR> show parameter job_queue
NAME TYPE VALUE ----------------------------------- ------- ------------------------------ job_queue_interval integer 30 job_queue_keep_connections boolean TRUE job_queue_processes integer 3
yours will probably have a processes = 1.
depending on release you can:
alter system set job_queue_processes = 0;
and then fix up your init.ora so it remains at 0 with the next reboot (the snp process will go away, give it a little time).
with earlier releases you will have to change the init.ora and then restart the database for this to take effect.
