it's working under windows environment with single quotes

c:\orawin95\bin\plus33w scott/tiger @script 'par1withoutspaces' 'par 1 with spaces'

In Unix environment, you must \ the quotes

# sqlplus scott/tiger @script \'par1withoutspaces\' \'par 1 with spaces\'
