So have I. Greg Flannery's excellent article in Linux Journal helped me get Oracle 8.0.5/RedHat 6.1 running in under 2 hours. Only minor change was to add

    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib; export LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the Oracle setup script.
