I'm trying to install Oracle 8i (8.1.5) with the spanish UnixWare 7.1. I have installed UnixWare 7 and the Development Kit without problems.

I have two filesystem for Oracle: /u01 and /u02 I've created two groups: oinstall and dba, and the user oracle whit default group oinstall. User oracle have permissions in /dev/async ULIMIT in the /etc/default/login file is set to 2,113,674 ans the Kernel parameter SEMOP is set to 100. All others parameters are OK.

With the oracle user i set the next variables:

DISPLAY: unix:0.0
ORACLE_BASE: /u01/app/oracle
ORACLE_HOME: /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.5 NLS_LANG: spanish
ORA_NLS33: $ORACLE_HOME/ocommon/nls/admin/data TMPDIR: /var/tmp
PATH: $ORACLE_HOME/bin:/bin:/usr/bin

I export all variables and mount the CD. After execute ./runInstaller installation abort and show the next message:

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from

../stage/Components/oracle/swd/jre/1.1.7/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre//unixware/

../stage/Components/oracle/swd/jre/1.1.7/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre/unixware//
bin/jre[21]: exec: / ../bin/x86at/green_threads/jre: not found

I think all i do is OK. Help please ............ Received on Tue Nov 09 1999 - 10:03:03 CST
