I too had a similar problem, installing SP6 on NT workstation. I had to update my video driver and that resolved the problem. Another possibility, I know SP6 installs a new driver for 3com ELink 905b, I don't know if SP5 did the same. It is also possible that could be causing you a problem if you use that NIC.
