Actually: "Why?" If you said why you need so many bumps, we might have a clue as to how to advise. Are you just trying to reset the sequence from, say, 121 to 1,000,121? You don't want to do 1,000,000 nextvals? Is this a one time thing? Or will your program need 1,000,000 bumps each time it runs a certain procedure?

Maybe you need alter privileges on the sequence, or have the dba do it for you.
