I started off as a Computer Operator while working my way through
school. After I graduated, I decided to attend Graduate School. While in
Graduate School, I did some work as a DBA/Developer. At that time, I
discovered how much I liked working with Databases (Oracle in
particular). I spent my last year focusing on Database systems. My
thesis topic was directly related to database systems. After that, I had
some experience and some education. That helped me land my first DBA
job!
